Quinta Mouraria is a stunning 5 bedroom villa brand new to Travillas for Spring 2011.
Situated in the countryside between Guia and Albufeira it is ideal for any family or group that wish to have complete privacy and peace when at the villa but not far to travel to explore the surrounding towns and beach resorts.
As it is a restoration of an original old villa, it has all the traditional style of an Algarvian property, including the thick walls that keep it fresh and cool in the Summer, but with a modern and stylish decor. Please look at the extensive slideshow of photos to get a true feel of the effort that has been put into acheiving a perfect balance between the old and new.
Apart from a mezzanine floor, the property is all on ground floor level. The entrance opens into a large open plan living and dining room with stone walls and a staircase up to the mezzanine floor. There are child safety gates at the top and bottom of the stairs.
Through a study, which can accommodate a baby cot or an extra put up bed, is the first bedroom with a four-poster double bed and full en-suite bathroom. Through another arch from the living room are two more bedrooms with a shared bathroom. One has another four-poster double bed and the other twin beds.
The kitchen is light with granite surfaces, a central island, a separate hob and cooker area and is modern and fully equipped. Through the kitchen is access to the fourth bedroom and en suite bathroom.
Upstairs on the mezzanine floor under the sloping roof is a fifth, double bed, a study area with sofa, a cross trainer and an exercise bike.
Outside the villa is a large veranda with a dining area and lounging sofa area overlooking the pool and purpose-built barbeque. It is completely enclosed with railings and two gates, which can provide a secure area for young children whilst relaxing outside. The pool has an electric cover, which helps maintain the water at a very warm temperature throughout the year, roman steps at one end and a large patio with sunbeds.
The grounds are extensive and include an orchard, grassed areas, cobbled walkways all around the house and even (unused) stables. The entrance to the property is through a remote controlled gate and there is shaded parking for several vehicles.
